Job description

Overview

Lead cloud data solutions at SMBC Group as Cloud Data Solutions - Team Lead. Design, develop, and maintain data resources across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data resources, database structures, and relational schemas.
  • Determine hardware and storage requirements; set backup policies and schedules.
  • Collaborate with business unit leads to define database requirements and retention policies.
  • Partner with IT system administrators to install and configure server and storage hardware.
  • Develop database code to improve performance and minimize storage and resource utilization.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in database engineering and cloud data platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of database standards such as SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, and data warehouse structures.
  • Expertise with data exchange interfaces, APIs, data mining tools, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate database performance and develop improvements.

    • Salary

    $165,000.00 - $190,000.00

    Work Model

    Hybrid workforce model; employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office location.
