Job Summary

The Staff Therapist is responsible for providing clinical services to children, adolescents and / or adults, as assigned, to help Josselyn achieve its vision of Mental Health For All. The therapist is responsible for all assigned clinical, administrative, Quality and Compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Metrics

  • Provides high quality services of therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and client centered consultation to clients and their families
  • Maintains direct service hours per month of 60%
  • Keeps detailed, confidential records of client sessions, progress, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Creates IMCANS (IATP) Assessment (Completes IATP within 30 days of initial meeting with client, modifies and reviews as needed, updates and records IATP in CIS as needed and ensures updates are completed prior to six months due date) and complete the LOCUS in a timely fashion
  • Enters Progress Notes into the EMR as soon as possible, but in no more than three business days from of the date of service
  • Keeps EMR calendar, and any other primary sources, up to date
  • Coordinates care with other clinical staff, internal and external providers
  • Attends and participates at clinical presentations and all required meetings
  • Responsive to all outreach and coordination regarding client fees / payments
  • Participates in Accreditation and Certification processes, Committee Work, Strategic Planning, and Community Related Services as appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • Clinically related graduate degree, including : M.A. in Counseling, MSW, MSMFT, Psy.D, Ph.D in Psychology, or a related degree which qualifies for a QMHP in the state of Illinois
  • Submission and acceptance of three current professional references demonstrating the applicant’s ability to perform clinical work
  • The estimated annual salary for the Mental Health Therapist role is $47,500 - $55,000 as determined by the department head and hiring manager with consideration to licensure and experience.
