AppleTree Staffing is seeking a hands-on, results-driven CNC Supervisor to lead our client's production teams in Indianapolis. This role is critical for maintaining workflow efficiency, fostering team development, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

As the first line of leadership on the plant floor, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and coaching employees while enforcing company policies and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Extensive CNC machining experience or Manual Lathe experience is required.

This is a full-time Direct Hire position.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide daily leadership and supervision to the Mill Products departments, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Communicate job expectations clearly while planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees through regular feedback and training.
  • Maintain an orderly workflow, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient material flow.
  • Manage and coordinate workloads, department schedules, and production priorities.
  • Inspect parts throughout the shift to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Mill Products Manager to review schedules and communicate with off-shift supervisors.
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely production reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, efficiency, and staffing strategies.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring proper work processes and adhering to specifications.
  • Oversee employee training, retention, and performance development.
  • Create a positive, safe, and team-oriented work environment on the production floor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience (or equivalent training / experience).
  • Extensive CNC machining experience or Manual Lathe experience is required.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Machining experience and familiarity with quality practices.
  • Background in 5S principles.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and work alongside employees when needed.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and manage performance.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of powdered metals manufacturing or machining processes.
