Coordinates and provides care for a group of patients spanning all age groups and cultures for a designated time frame using therapeutic means, the laboratory process, the environment / instrumentation and other health care team members while assuming responsibility and accountability for these patients; responsibilities are to provide patient care in an ambulatory care setting under the clinical supervision of a physician or MD within the guidelines of nursing process and nurse practitioner protocols as outlined in Patient Care Guidelines for Nurse Practitioners. Required Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience : Graduate of an accredited school, master prepared with a degree as a Nurse Practitioner Massachusetts licensure. Departmental specialized training to provide care to patients within role and successful completion of SMH orientation program Preferred Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience : Command of verbal and written English Operation of clinical equipment demonstrates clinical competence, Positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills Three to five years medical office experience Educational Requirements : Master in Science in Nursing / Nurse Practitioner License / Certification : CPR certification.
