Description

Essential Duties :

  • Review and analyze Workers' compensation claims for accuracy
  • Assists with reporting of claims to insurance carriers
  • Determine the validity of claims and make recommendations for approval or denial based on investigation and analysis
  • Supports the insurance renewal process by gathering updated information
  • Interacts with other corporate departments to promote safety
  • Communicates with insurance carrier claims personnel regarding claims investigation and resolution
  • Completes special projects as assigned

Education / Experience :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Workers' compensation claims experience preferred, but not required.

    • Physical Demands :

  • Typical office environment, occasionally stands and walks, frequently sits.
  • Routine use of personal computer and general office equipment.

    • Environment / Noise :

  • Noise level is moderate

    • Certificates / Licenses :

  • No certificates or licenses are required

    • Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences :

  • Excellent customer service skills critical
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Ability to read and speak English in order to perform job duties (must be able to communicate with English-speaking coworkers and customers, must be able to read and comprehend reports and manuals written in English)
  • Effective written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
