The Resource Nurse supports high-quality, patient-centered care by mentoring new graduate nurses and those transitioning into new specialties. In this role, you will provide education on nursing practices, policies, and compliance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience : Minimum of 2+ years as a Registered Nurse, with leadership experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications :
Active state Registered Nurse license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.Preceptor Training within 90 days of hire.NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 30 days of hire.Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) within 90 days of hire.Business Emergency Response Training (BERT) within 90 days of hire.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 12 months of hire.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months of hire.Key Responsibilities :
Assist in implementing patient care plans under supervision.Record initial and ongoing patient information throughout their care.Provide support for patient mobility and daily living activities.Document patient observations and report any changes to the supervising nurse.Prepare patients for procedures and collect specimens for testing.Promote patient safety and maintain clean, organized patient environments.Facilitate patient education and understanding of their treatment plans.HCA Healthcare values ethical leadership and community support, having recognized its commitment to charitable care and workforce integrity.
