Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Aircraft Systems Mechanic Level 2 / 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our E-2D Manufacturing and Production Organization. This role will be located on site in Saint Augustine, Florida. This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail, top focus on quality and the ability to interface with multiple teams. Essential functions include troubleshooting, repairing and servicing aircraft and engine systems; reading and interpreting blueprints; assembling and installing hydraulic systems; conducting diagnosis of malfunctions; performing maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions; obtaining half & full-face respirator certification; daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems; and use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor.

This role will be filled as either a level 2 or level 3 mechanic based on the relevant experience defined below. Basic qualifications for level 2 include a high school diploma or GED and 2 years' experience with engine / hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, and systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and / or maintenance environment. Basic qualifications for level 3 include a high school diploma or GED and 4 years' experience with engine / hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, and systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and / or maintenance environment.
Preferred qualifications include experience in working on or around operational aircraft, completion of an A&P certificate program, and E-2D experience. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
