Full-Time Radiation Therapist

Join our radiation oncology team in the heart of Cajun country!

We are an outpatient freestanding facility currently focused on expanding with the addition of a new linear accelerator, and we’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join us.

In this role, you’ll work with advanced technology to provide essential care, collaborating with a skilled team to enhance patient outcomes. Ideal candidates will have strong technical expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities :

• Operate and manage various imaging and treatment equipment with proficiency as prescribed by physician.
• Collect and maintain accurate patient information and treatment records.
• Ensure proper patient positioning for treatments using masks, braces, and other devices.
• Conduct patient simulations prior to the initiation of planned radiation treatment to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients to ease their understanding and anxiety.
• Adhere to safety protocols to protect patients, families, and staff.
• Assist in scheduling patient visits in alignment with their treatment plans.
• Monitor and assess patients' emotional and physical responses to treatment.

Qualifications :

Valid license to practice radiation therapy (ARRT Board Certification).

Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Compassionate approach when interacting with anxious patients and families.

Capacity to focus on detailed tasks while managing distressed individuals.

Skills to assist elderly or disabled patients with adjustments as needed.

Ability to follow directions and work independently when required.

Maintain professionalism in a sensitive and challenging environment.

Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical demands of the role.
