Team Description :

The Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team is crucial in bringing our AI vision to life at Capital One. We collaborate across the organization to advance AI engineering and build proprietary solutions that provide immense value to millions of customers. Our AI models and platforms enable diverse teams within Capital One to incorporate AI responsibly and at scale, maximizing impact across the board.

In this role, you will :

Collaborate with a diverse team, including engineers, research scientists, and product managers, to develop AI-powered products that enhance both employee productivity and customer interactions.

Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain various AI software components such as foundation model training and large language model inference.

Utilize a broad range of AI technologies, including AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch.

Innovate and introduce advanced optimization techniques for AI models to enhance scalability, cost efficiency, latency, and throughput.

Contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for foundational AI systems at Capital One.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience in AI and ML technologies; or a Master’s degree in the same fields with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

A minimum of 4 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Preferred Qualifications :

6 years of experience in deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).

Experience in designing, developing, and supporting AI services.

Proven experience in developing AI algorithms focused on technologies such as LLM inference and similarity search.

Expertise in optimizing training and inference software to enhance performance metrics.

A continuous drive to stay informed about AI advancements and apply them judiciously.

This role is based in the following locations : Cambridge, MA; McLean, VA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; San Jose, CA. The minimum and maximum salaries for this role range between $193,400 - $240,800 depending on the location.
