Position : Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities :

Ensure that nursing duties and services are consistent with state nursing practice guidelines.

Maintain knowledge of individual patients' histories, current progress, and treatment goals.

Assess patients and make appropriate nursing decisions based on their needs.

Recognize and respond promptly to any changes in patient conditions, facilitating necessary interventions.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members.

Serve as a resource for problem-solving, conflict resolution, and patient care issues.

Ensure patients are prepared for activities and accompany them as needed.

Clearly articulate the role of the Registered Nurse in emergencies, including cardiopulmonary arrest.

Coordinates care with ancillary clinical departments to provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications : Education :

Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

Experience :

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute / post-acute or pediatric setting is preferred.

Licensure / Certification :

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.

Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire.

Patient de-escalation training (SAMA) is required within 30 days of hire.
