About Us : We are partnering with a well‑respected Trusts & Estates / Elder Law firm located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The firm provides comprehensive estate planning, trust administration, probate and elder law services to individuals, families and fiduciaries. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys in a small, collaborative practice.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare, draft and proofread estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney and health care directives.
- Assist with estate and trust administration and probate matters : prepare petitions, inventories, notices, accountings and related court filings under Pennsylvania procedures.
- Manage case files and client communications, including intake, follow‑up and coordination with financial institutions, court clerks and other third parties.
- Maintain calendars and deadlines for filings, court appearances and client meetings; prepare and organize materials for hearings and client consultations.
- Prepare and maintain fiduciary accounting records and assist with preparation of estate and fiduciary tax returns and beneficiary distributions.
- Perform legal research and gather factual information to support attorney work; summarize documents and prepare memoranda as needed.
- Manage document production, e‑filing, scanning, indexing and secure retention of client records.
- Support business development and client service initiatives by assisting with client letters, engagement agreements and follow‑up processes.
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications) :
Paralegal certificate, associate degree or equivalent experience in a law office environment.Minimum of 1 years of paralegal experience in trusts & estates, probate or elder law preferred.Working knowledge of estate planning, trust administration and probate practices and procedures, preferably in Pennsylvania.Experience preparing legal documents, court filings and fiduciary accountings.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with document management or e‑filing systems. Experience with WealthCounsel a huge plus but not requiredStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently.Professional written and verbal communication skills and proven client service aptitude.Benefits and Work Environment :
