Position : Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse\n\nRole Summary : \nThe ED RN provides high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages and their families. This includes assessing urgent and emergent needs, prioritizing care, performing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. The nurse manages life-threatening and routine emergency situations, applying both technical and communication skills while addressing physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\nConduct triage, establish rapport, and prioritize care per ESI standards\n\nPerform primary and secondary assessments, identify deviations, and initiate appropriate interventions\n\nRespond to patient condition changes and provide continuous reassessment\n\nSupport patient / family through education, procedural prep, and discharge instructions\n\nCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams, delegate tasks, and mentor staff\n\nMaintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with protocols\n\nCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; update ED communication boards\n\nSkills & Competencies : \n\nLife -threatening and routine emergency care\n\nInvasive and non-invasive procedures\n\nPatient / family education and support\n\nTeam collaboration and delegation\n\nCritical thinking and rapid assessment\n\nSpecialty : Emergency Department RN\n\nNote : Rate increase effective as of 10 / 22 / 2025.
