We are currently seeking a Mid-level Air Quality Engineer to support a wide variety of projects. We will consider applicants on the East Coast. The preferred candidate will have extensive field and office experience working as a task manager leading complex field programs, preparing planning documents and preparing reports for air quality projects as well as environmental characterization. The preferred candidate will have a desire to advance their career as a task leader.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by :
- Performing air quality impact evaluations for incorporation into Environmental Impact Reports (CEQA) and Environmental Impact Statements (NEPA)
- Preparing project-level air emissions inventories of greenhouse gases, as well as criteria and hazardous air pollutants for municipal utilities, power plants, industrial, landfills and transportation clients.
- Conducting air dispersion modeling and risk assessments
- Preparing air permit applications for permits to construct (PSD, NSR), and permits to operate (Title V) regulated facilities
- Preparing technical documents including annual GHG reports and NESHAP / NSPS compliance reports for Title V reporting.
- Conducting regulatory reviews and compliance / strategy evaluations
- Conducting air pollution control technology evaluations
