Your Role as Industrial Painter
As an Industrial Painter this role will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying protective coatings, paints, sandblasting and finishes to industrial equipment, structures, and components. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting techniques, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, blast, or otherwise prepare surfaces of industrial equipment, machinery, or structures for painting, ensuring proper adhesion of coatings.
- Paint Application: Apply various types of industrial coatings, including epoxy, polyurethane, and enamel, using spray guns, rollers, or brushes, adhering to project specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and properly store painting equipment, including spray guns, sandblasters, hoses, and other tools, to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Assist in routine maintenance and cleaning of sandblasting booth and equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proper handling of hazardous materials, and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations, making touch-ups or corrections as needed.
- Material Management: Monitor and manage paint and coating inventory, ensuring proper storage and disposal of materials in accordance with environmental regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment, processes including materials used, hours worked, and project progress.
Requirements:
- Forklift Certification
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to wear PPE requirements.
