Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma experience and robotic surgery proficiency for a high-acuity hospital assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Operating Room of a Level I trauma hospital
  • Serve a broad surgical patient population including robotics, ortho, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma cases
  • Day shifts (3x12 hours), 7 : 00 to 19 : 30
  • Float to other units as needed
  • Take 4-5 call shifts with a required 30-minute callback within a 6 week schedule
  • Work 4-5 weekend shifts and at least 1-2 major holidays per contract
  • Proficiency with DaVinci Xi robot required; DV5 DaVinci robot familiarity preferred
  • Charting using EPIC, with EPIC experience heavily preferred
  • Expected to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays; no time off approved between Christmas and New Year's
  • Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract will be approved
  • Could care for COVID patients
  • Tobacco and fragrance free facility
  • Orientation modules to be completed prior to start (estimated 5-6 hours)
  • Travel pairs are permitted, but matched schedules are not guaranteed

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active PA or compact RN license with no license hits
  • Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience
  • Level I trauma experience required, Level II with over 1 year may be considered
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Must be able to independently scrub and circulate
  • Proficiency with DaVinci Xi robot required; other robotic experience (ortho / neuro robots) not applicable
  • Experienced in robotics, ortho, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma
  • BLS certification through AHA or ARC
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility
