American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma experience and robotic surgery proficiency for a high-acuity hospital assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Operating Room of a Level I trauma hospitalServe a broad surgical patient population including robotics, ortho, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma casesDay shifts (3x12 hours), 7 : 00 to 19 : 30Float to other units as neededTake 4-5 call shifts with a required 30-minute callback within a 6 week scheduleWork 4-5 weekend shifts and at least 1-2 major holidays per contractProficiency with DaVinci Xi robot required; DV5 DaVinci robot familiarity preferredCharting using EPIC, with EPIC experience heavily preferredExpected to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays; no time off approved between Christmas and New Year'sMaximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract will be approvedCould care for COVID patientsTobacco and fragrance free facilityOrientation modules to be completed prior to start (estimated 5-6 hours)Travel pairs are permitted, but matched schedules are not guaranteed\n \n Requirements\n
Active PA or compact RN license with no license hitsMinimum 3 years of OR nursing experienceLevel I trauma experience required, Level II with over 1 year may be consideredPrevious travel nursing experience requiredMust be able to independently scrub and circulateProficiency with DaVinci Xi robot required; other robotic experience (ortho / neuro robots) not applicableExperienced in robotics, ortho, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and traumaBLS certification through AHA or ARCMust reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility\n Benefits\n
