Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in an adult Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital, requiring VA or compact RN license and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an adult Emergency Department at a Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital
  • Night shift position, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • Floating within scope may be required
  • Patient care for a diverse range of adult emergency cases
  • Expected to complete VCU-specific orientation modules during the first week
  • First week of assignment is not eligible for approved time off
  • No previous employment at specified health system within the past 12 months allowed
  • Natural nail policy in effect
  • Smoke-free and drug-free workplace
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Must adhere to dress code and workplace conduct policies

    • Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
  • Minimum 1 year of ER RN experience required, 3+ years strongly preferred
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associates, or BSN)
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Two professional references required
  • Must submit to fingerprinting with results received before start date
  • SSN and DOB required for compliance
