Role Overview

The Senior Maximo Consultant will provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical and functional support for IBM Maximo applications implemented across Abbott's U.S. facilities. This position focuses on ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and functionality of Maximo through configuration, customization, integration, reporting, and workflow optimization.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain business continuity, enhance system capabilities, and align Maximo functionalities with enterprise needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical and functional support for IBM Maximo Asset Management (v7.6 or higher) and Maximo Application Suite (MAS).

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application, configuration, and integration issues.

Configure and customize Maximo modules using Automation Scripts, MBO Customizations , and Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) .

Design, develop, and optimize workflows to support business processes.

Create, modify, and maintain BIRT reports and SQL queries for data analysis and decision support.

Support Maximo Mobile applications, ensuring compatibility with enterprise devices.

Develop and maintain integrations between Maximo, SAP , and other enterprise systems.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Finance, and IT teams to align business and system requirements.

Maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, configuration guides, and training materials.

Coordinate with offshore teams and Abbott's internal SAP support team for integration-related tasks.

Microsoft SQL Server (for Maximo database components)

Secondary Skills

SAP Integration (especially in Manufacturing and Finance domains)

Incident and Problem Management using ITSM tools (ServiceNow or similar)

CMDB and Queue Group Configuration

Strong communication and stakeholder management

Documentation and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in Maximo support roles , preferably within a regulated industry .

Expertise in Maximo 7.6 and / or MAS v9 .

Strong understanding of asset management processes in manufacturing and finance.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage complex integrations.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

IBM Maximo Certification (preferred).
