  • Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing required.\n
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.\n
  • One (1) year medication administration experience required. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of work experience.)\n
  • One (1) year experience with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents, in an inpatient health care setting, preferred.\n
  • One (1) year leadership or supervisory experience preferred.\n\nHow you will make a difference : \n
  • Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing, and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Director of Nursing in charge of the facility on the shift and the attending physician.\n
  • Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physician's orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication from pharmacy on shift worked.\n
  • Attends and participates in morning rounds, change of shift meetings, and treatment team meetings as scheduled on the assignment sheet.\n
  • Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.\n
  • Supports admission processes to ensure PHF / YPHF beds remain full, including reviewing admission packets and securing approval, scheduling admissions, and completing all required verifications & forms upon arrival in facility.\n
  • Ensures timely and accurate attention to incidents and unusual occurrences.\n
  • Provides direct nursing care and supervises same provided by all nursing staff the shift worked.\n\nDivision / Program Overview : \n
  • 24 / 7 inpatient involuntary program\n
  • 16-bed facility for acute youth (ages 5-17)\n
  • Intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans\n
  • Available for contracting Central Valley counties\n
