Responsibilities Work on a 34-bed Cardiac Renal Med / Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes post-cardiac procedure, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, behavioral health, and detox cases Typical day shift schedule is 12 hours, 6 : 30 AM – 7 PM Nurse-to-patient ratio during the day is 1 : 4-5 First to float within skillset, with possible cross-campus float to other regional locations Uses Epic electronic charting and telemetry equipment Three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday are required Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos Strong leadership presence and team-oriented environment Possible responsibility for precepting students and new hires as a teaching hospital Up to three call-ins may result in contract termination COVID-19 vaccine is not currently required but is subject to change Orientation hours may vary during the initial week Hardworking, resilient candidates who adapt well to change and are socially adept will thrive in this environment Requirements Active IN or compact RN license Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA) certifications Minimum two years of strong cardiac / telemetry experience At least one prior travel assignment required Trauma level II experience required Recent Epic charting experience required Telemetry / 12-lead EKG interpretation and the ability to pass required tele tests Proficiency with EKGs, PIV insertion, chest tubes, drain management, drip management, and CIWA protocol Must live more than 40 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629261.
