About The Position

Job Summary (List Format) :

• Position : Interventional Radiology Technologist (Vascular & Neuro focus)
• Location : Morgantown, WV
• Compensation : $3,668 weekly ($1,246 stipend included)
• Schedule : 4x10 hour days (M-F 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm); On-call : 1-2 shifts / week plus every 3rd or 4th weekend, possible holiday call (30-minute callback time)
• Contract Length : 13 weeks, Start ASAP
• Scrubs : Provided by facility (specific color not required)
• Certifications Required : ARRT(R), BLS (ACLS preferred)
• Radiation Badge : Must be provided by traveler s agency
• Key Skills / Experience :
• Must be highly proficient in neuro procedures : cerebral angiograms, coiling, kyphoplasty, spine work, stroke therapy, carotid stenting
• Must cover both vascular and neuro interventional procedures
• Core Duties :
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data
• Maintain sterile technique during procedures
• Prepare and monitor patients throughout procedures (ECG, BP)
• Advise physicians of patient status and document accurately
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergent procedures
• Initiate resuscitation measures under physician supervision
• Document procedures and manage inventory / billing
• Participate in educational, in-service, and performance improvement activities
• Instruct radiography students in clinical and technical skills
• Specialize and maintain expertise in Neuroradiology and Vascular IR
• Check and prepare patients prior to procedures
• Other Requirements :
• Must live 50+ miles from facility (driver s license must show this)
• Previous perm staff must have been gone for 2+ years
• Previous travelers must have been gone for 2+ years if assignment lasted 1 year
• Only one submission allowed across the WVU system at a time
• Travel teams must be submitted together

Summary :

Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist proficient in both vascular and advanced neuro procedures for a 13-week contract in Morgantown, WV. Duties include monitoring hemodynamics, maintaining sterile technique, preparing and monitoring patients, participating in on-call rotations, instructing students, and maintaining department inventory and documentation. Requires ARRT(R), BLS, and strong neuro IR experience.
