Overview :

Serves to support orientation, competency programs, in-service education, continuing education, academic partnerships, career development and role transition at the Unit level for Mercy coworkers.

Qualifications :

• Required Education : Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred Education : Bachelor Degree or higher.
• Minimum Requirements : 2 years of Clinical Experience and teaching experience
• Preferred Experience : 2 or more years of inpatient nursing, ideally on a critical care or medical surgical floor. Prior experience as a preceptor, mentor, and / or patient or staff educator role.
• Licensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and / or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications : Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
