Our client is a full-service General Contractor / Construction Manager that has been in business for over 30 years. This company, which is experiencing consistent growth, is renowned in the Southeast market with regards to their bread-and-butter project type - Industrial. Here, team members are valued beyond the projects, which contributes to the strong company culture. They are headquartered in Birmingham, however have four offices total across Alabama and Texas. This role allows the right candidate to work out of any of their Alabama offices (Birmingham, Huntsville, or Mobile) given the ability to travel as needed. Job Description

The Safety Manager will :

• Perform daily safety inspections on an active industrial construction site; document and report findings using company safety platforms.
• Ensure compliance with company's safety policies, OSHA standards, and project-specific safety plans by all workers and subcontractors.
• Conduct and document daily pre-task safety meetings and ensure completion of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) or DAHA forms.
• Monitor high-risk activities including heat work, lockout / tagout, confined space entry, crane lifts, elevated work, and excavation.
• Oversee proper PPE use and promote safe work practices throughout the jobsite, especially in high-hazard industrial environments.
• Lead safety meetings or stand-downs as needed to address critical issues or reinforce important safety messages.
• Coordinate with construction management, subcontractors, and outside safety entities to foster a proactive and engaged safety culture.
• Manage and maintain QR code-based safety systems, including SDS access, emergency contacts, rally points, and digital safety forms.
• Participate in and support incident investigations, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up with the Safety Director.
• Facilitate onboarding and safety orientation sessions; deliver or assist with bilingual training where needed
