Summary :

Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities :

Maintains proficiency in basic and complex interventional procedures.Performs post-processing (3D and MIPS).Serves as a preceptor to new hires and / or students (2 students and / or new hires semi-annually).Performs quality assurance testing on imaging and related equipment.Performs rectal contrast / virtual colonoscopy exams.Provides peer feedback for performance evaluations.Assists clinical educator with quality assurance programs and projects.

Additional Job Information :

Complexity of Work : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Required Work Experience : No previous CT experience required.One year of radiology technologist experience is preferred.Other Information : Registered as a Technologist (RT) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as required by state law. Registered in computed tomography (CT) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 1 year of hire date.Additional Education Info : Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
