Outpatient Psychiatrist - Hospital Employed Division HC - Providers (Physicians) Location New Haven, Connecticut Employment Type Permanent A board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist is sought to join an outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) behavioral health team. This full-time, onsite role offers a balanced mix of clinical care, supervision, and teaching, with flexibility to tailor IOP tracks based on clinical interests. Job Description : Compensation : $250000 - $300000 Job ID : 39951 Job Function : Conduct initial 1-hour psychiatric evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits. Manage a caseload of 8-12 adult patients per day across outpatient and IOP settings. Review LCSW intake assessments prior to evaluations and coordinate care with primary and specialty providers. Respond to psychiatric emergencies and assess for Physician's Emergency Certificate (PEC) when needed. Provide clinical supervision to APRNs, LCSWs, and medical students, including treatment plan review and Medicare certification support. Participate in psychiatry clerkship rotations and mentor medical residents. Maintain documentation, attend team meetings, and support administrative tasks. Participate in call rotation for weeknights, weekends, and holidays, covering inpatient, crisis, and consults. Job Requirements : 0 years of experience. Connecticut state medical license, DEA registration, and board certification required. Completion of a general psychiatry residency required.
