We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager Manager with experience calling on federal accounts to drive growth, manage a portfolio of clients, and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities :
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with federal end users, contracting officers, procurement specialists, and facility managers.
- Schedule and conduct weekly on-site visits to federal and aligned customer locations.
- Manage all aspects of customer satisfaction and retention through our structured client engagement process.
Sales and Profit Growth
Meet and exceed established sales and profit goals.Negotiate pricing and terms in accordance with government contract requirements.Close deals while following Burgoon’s proven sales and business development processes.Identify and pursue new opportunities within the federal market.Leadership and Delegation
Lead and coordinate with your book team to ensure all transactional and service-related tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.Use weekly planning tools and team meetings to set priorities, assign responsibilities, and ensure accountability.Ensure team compliance with customer service and accounting procedures.Pipeline and Prospecting
Research and document potential leads, especially within federal government agencies, military bases, and federally funded facilities.Maintain and grow a robust pipeline of opportunities using CHART and other CRM tools.Follow the company’s business development process to ensure consistency in prospecting and lead management.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with other book managers and departments to resolve issues, improve processes, and deliver consistent customer experiences.Participate in weekly meetings to raise concerns, recommend improvements, and share federal market insights.Qualifications :
Must be able to pass a background check for access to secure federal facilities.Demonstrated success in outside sales or account management, preferably within the federal or government contracting space.Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.Experience navigating procurement processes and contract requirements within government agencies.Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).Must reside in or be willing to relocate to a designated HUBZone area.Why Work With Us?
