$150,000.00 / yr - $175,000.00 / yr
Position Overview :
As a Senior Rail Reliability Engineer at CodeRed Business Solutions , you will play a key role in enhancing the reliability, safety, and performance of rail infrastructure systems for public transportation and utility clients. You'll collaborate with engineering, operations, and asset management teams to develop sustainable reliability strategies and optimize maintenance programs across critical transit assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct reliability assessments, root cause analyses, and failure mode and effects analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Collect and process data for reliability purposes
- Track, report, and provide recommendations on equipment reliability and failure rates
- Quantify MTBF and MTTR of MOW systems
- Assist with improving the safety and reliability of MOW Systems
- Establish equipment reliability goals
- Perform data mining on operations and maintenance data sources
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance and repair programs to enhance the overall reliability and safety of transit assets.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators related to transit reliability and safety, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvements.
- Evaluate and implement advanced technologies and best practices to optimize reliability and reduce downtime.
- Lead and mentor a junior reliability engineer to ensure the successful execution of reliability improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in all engineering activities.
- Provide technical expertise and support to senior management and other departments in matters related to transit system reliability.
- Stay current with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually improve our transit system.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).6+ years of experience in reliability analysis, asset management, or rail / transit engineering.Proven experience conducting RCM, FMEA, or reliability assessments in the transit or rail sector.Proficiency with reliability engineering tools and methodologies.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.Strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and public service reliability.Highly organized, self-driven, and adaptable to both office and field environments.Desired Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license (California preferred).Background in transit infrastructure or public utilities.Familiarity with FTA standards and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).Experience in inspecting products or processes for compliance with transit or infrastructure standards.Demonstrated ability to work in a consulting or multi-client environment.About Us
