Oracle Technical Specialist

Employment Type : Contract-to-Hire | Work Arrangement : Remote (OH, IL, MN, PA, TX) Must live in footprint of an office

Overview

The Technical Specialist provides technical and consultative support on a wide range of technical matters, from simple to complex.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and develop systems based on user specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance in resolving hardware or software issues.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of technical tools available for systems development and support.
  • Stay current with technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington.
  • Assist in identifying training needs or provide training for less experienced staff.
  • Serve as project leader for specific projects when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree (or 4 additional years of related work experience in lieu of degree).
  • Experience :

    • 5+ years of related experience.

  • In-depth technical knowledge and at least 3 years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials applications and related Oracle technology stack.
  • Strong SQL and PL / SQL knowledge.
  • Technical expertise and 3+ years of experience with SQL Loader, workflow, BI Publisher, XML, and Unix shell scripting.
  • Oracle APEX development experience.
  • Skills :

    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge and 3+ years of experience with OAF and J-Developer.
  • Experience with REST API / Webservices and event-driven development.
  • Integration experience from Oracle EBS into SaaS applications (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Google Cloud knowledge preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively with IT, vendors, and business groups.
  • Experience in multi-platform environments.
  • Ability to balance development and support roles.
  • Experience working on projects involving multiple business segments.
