Must-Have :

Candidates must demonstrate compassion, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work as a team player.

Skills in rapidly identifying sepsis, STEMI, stroke, and trauma are essential.

Description :

The Emergency Department consists of 15 beds.

Staff includes 3 RNs during the day shift and 3 RNs during the night shift, along with EMT-Ps.

Patient ratios are 1 : 4, depending on acuity.

Equipment includes Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Typical procedures performed in this unit include splinting, wound care, IV starts, medication administration, assessments, re-assessments, documentation, and oversight of EMT-Ps.

Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills and experience with airway management and ventilators is preferred.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate caregiver who is non-abrasive.

Weekend shifts are required, with work every other weekend.

On-call shifts are not required.

Lunch breaks should be clocked out, and communication with the Charge Nurse is necessary when leaving the building.
