As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you have the unique opportunity to transform lives by providing essential care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You will be an integral member of a dedicated team, working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to support patients with renal failure.
Your Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Deliver safe and high-quality dialysis treatment directly to patients. This includes gathering patient statistics before and after treatment, initiating and terminating treatment, and monitoring patients throughout the process, as well as collecting blood samples as ordered by physicians.
- Technician Duties : Prioritize quality by preparing and maintaining dialysis machines, ensuring they are cleaned and disinfected post-treatment, and conducting safety checks along with logging results for quality control compliance.
- Safety and Quality : Follow all safety protocols using personal protective equipment, adhere to company standards, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations while participating in ongoing staff education and meetings.
This position is for our clinic located at 821 FL-44, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
What We Are Looking For :
High school diploma or equivalent.A passion for healthcare and patient care.Prior experience in healthcare, specifically in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageous.Must be comfortable with mixing acids and bicarbonate as per protocols.Able to distinguish all primary colors.Additional Requirements :
Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstration of competency, within 8 weeks of hire.Current CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire, or as mandated by state regulations.Certification as a Patient Care Technician must be obtained through a state or nationally recognized program within 18 months of hiring and must be maintained thereafter.Ready to Make an Impact?
