Summary : Provide customers with exceptional financial support and advice while providing quality service. Conducts all financial transactions, cross-sells bank products and services with the goal of deepening relationships. Is professional, knowledgeable, and capable of working face to face with customers handling complex financial situations for customers. Is technologically savvy as it relates to Bank services. Displays a commitment to the community and to meeting the Bank's objectives. Has increased operational responsibility and lobby support, including opening / closing branch and core system supervisor override authority.
The rate of pay is the minimum amount offered for this position. Blue Foundry Bank will compensate employees in a fair and equitable manner, taking into consideration education, skills, current and relevant experience, among other factors.
Minimum Job Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years banking experience with an emphasis on sales and customer service.
- College degree preferred.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, customer service and sales skills.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours and travel to various branch locations as staffing requires, for unspecified periods.
- Must have the ability to work independently
Specific Job Functions :
Consistently provide quality customer service by demonstrating our service / sales relationship building behaviorsAbility to evaluate and identify financial needs and present appropriate products / services to meet these needsOpens new accounts and related products / services, debit card, direct deposit, etc.Processes all financial transactions; cash / check deposits, withdrawals, etc.Participate in branch activities planned by Branch Management.Practice behaviors that are focused on achieving individual and team goalsPossess the ability to identify customers' financial needs and cross-sell bank products and services to meet those needs. Advise customers on promotional products and servicesPerform all teller related duties, including managing a cash drawerPerform all activities related to the processing of various types of accounts and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies and proceduresParticipates in business development efforts as assignedIs able to competently and confidently teach self-service options to customersPerform all activities related to the servicing and processing of IRA'sProcess incoming mail transactions and night depository deposits as outlined in Policies and ProceduresServes as a point person to answer internal and external inquiries on the topic of bank products and services, transactions, and policies and proceduresInvolved with daily proof of the ATM, replenish cash using dual controls. Ensure the ATM is in working order and adequate supplies are available for customer useMaintain confidentiality of customer information by complying with the Privacy Policy. Comply with established policies and procedures when responding to inquiries and requestsPromote the security and safety of all employees and customers by complying with the Security ProgramPrepare documents for special services such as ACH transactions and wire transfersRemain current and implement all bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Social Media PolicyAssist customers with entry to their safe deposit box, ensuring all bank policies and procedures are strictly adhered to in the processAssist Branch Management and / or conduct monthly audits, certifications, proofs, reconciliations, filing, scanning, and other duties as assigned as outlined in the Policy and ProceduresAssumes responsibly to override transactions within established limits basing decisions on Bank policies and proceduresAssumes responsibility to open / close branch independent of other branch leadersAssist in other areas of the bank / branch as assignedAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, LGBTQ, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
Blue Foundry Bank will award an employee referral payment to employees who refer new hires. If the candidate is hired, the referring employee will be eligible to receive referral payment in accordance with the following guidelines :
$100 after the new employee has completed his / her three-month anniversary$400 after the one-year anniversaryBoth employees must be employed on the anniversary date of the referred employee in order to receive a referral payment.
