About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Oil and Gas Advisory to take on a leadership role with a focus on managing the firm's clients' oil and gas assets held in trusts and estates. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advisory services to family businesses, attending business development pitches to prospective clients in the oil and gas sector, and supporting current client relationships. This role requires a professional with 5-7 years of experience in the oil and gas field, particularly in the areas of negotiating the leasing and development of oil and gas assets, reviewing title records, confirming ownership, and procuring title. The Head of Oil and Gas Advisory will also be involved in working with operators and landmen to identify and resolve title defects, as well as negotiating leases and well construction. The ideal candidate for this position at the company will be a traditional oil and gas expert, with a background that may include being a Certified Professional Landman (CPL) and potentially a licensed attorney. The role is unique in that it serves as an in-house oil and gas expert for a sophisticated client base, and as such, the candidate should be prepared for a hands-on approach that includes significant experience in dirt work. This is a key leadership position that demands a professional with a deep understanding of the industry and the ability to manage and grow client relationships within the oil and gas sector.
