About The Position

Job Title : CT Technologist

Profession : Clinical-Allied

Specialty : CT-General

Duration : 11 months

Shift : Day / Evening Flexibility

Hours per Shift : 8, 10, or 12 hours

Experience : 3 years full-time hospital-based CT experience

License : ARRT registered, RT(R)(CT)

Certifications : Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification

Must-Have : Ability to establish IV access proficiently and safely across a dynamic range of patients

Description :

The CT Technologist operates computerized tomography (CT) to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

This role elects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware.

The person in this position is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of patient care.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Performing CT exams per physician orders or as advised.

Working alongside other health team providers to provide effective, efficient quality service and care while following standard protocols.

Reporting statistically significant findings to radiologists, residents, and referring physicians as necessary for patient care.

Demonstrating the ability to provide applicable care / service, adjusting approaches to reflect the developmental level of the population served.

Modifying and individualizing care / service plans to meet patient and customer needs.

Providing patient education based on the assessment of learning needs.

Flexibility in scheduling is beneficial as shifts may vary.

Hours of operation for the clinic range from early morning to evening.
