Description
SUMMARY : The Accounting / Payroll Coordinator is responsible for administrative and accounting duties within the accounting and payroll departments.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :
- Maintain all payroll filing systems including employee active and terminated files as well as payroll vendor files.
- Monitor Pending PTO and Missed timecard punches to ensure approval, accuracy, and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of biweekly payroll with duties as assigned by Payroll Manager.
- Perform payroll and vendor account reconciliations.
- Responding to employee and vendor inquiries.
- Perform full-cycle accounts payable duties including coding invoices, ensuring accuracy of invoices, data entering information into the computer system, and processing payments to vendors.
- Monthly report preparation and journal entries as needed for payroll and accounts payable.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
At least 3 years' experience in bookkeeping, computerized accounting systems, including payroll and accounts payable.Proficient at 10-key and data entry.COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS :
Ability to deal with confidential information with discretion and tact.Ability to convey a positive attitude and treat others with respect.Ability to take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and achieve results with little oversight.Ability to diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks.Ability to utilize both oral and written communications skills to effectively communicate with patients, co-workers, community resources, supervisors, and various other individuals encountered in the course of performing work while maintaining patient confidentiality and establishing professional rapport.Ability to operate a computer, utilize basic MS Office programs, and effectively navigate payroll software.REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES :

Must be able to operate a personal computer for extended periods of time, including reading from a computer monitor, keyboarding, and using a mouse.Ability to work in a shared office space with limited privacy.Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
Consistent attendance and punctuality are required of this position.A negative result on all pre-employment, reasonable basis, and post-accident drug screens .An acceptable criminal record as determined by DHS, the Oregon Administrative Rules, and the Oregon Revised Statutes; and no current supervised parole or probation.
