Texas Licensed Inpatient Coder

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder Certified ROC PT.

Key Responsibilities

Perform coding for inpatient records, including DRG assignment and validation

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of coding and maintain relationships with relevant teams

Utilize the 3M Encoder to accurately code and classify medical records according to ICD-10-CM / PCS

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Three to five years of coding experience required, preferably in inpatient coding

Advanced training in medical coding (ICD-10-CM / PCS, CPT, and APC)

High school diploma, GED, or higher education required

Certification from AHIMA (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCA) or AAPC Coding Certification required

Degree in Medical Records or a healthcare-related field or a Coding Education Certificate preferred
