Psychosocial Rehabilitation Technician
Dual Role : (Children's Day Treatment and
Intellectual and Developmental Disability Services - Vocational Training Instructor)
CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Technicians are responsible for facilitating program activities with consumers enrolled in day treatment programs. This position may require operation of a bus or van to transport consumers to and from the day treatment programs. The work involves constant monitoring and supervision of consumers for ensuring their safety, well-being and improvement in daily functioning.

Children's Psychosocial Rehabilitation Technicians
- Maintains documentation as evidence that all duties are completed in accordance with program requirements contained in the Mississippi Department of Mental Health Operational Standards.
- Maintains proper training, continuing education, qualifications, and other certifications required for this position as written in the Mississippi Department of Mental Health Operational Standards.
- Supervise clients in day treatment activities, including meal and snack preparation, clerical duties and maintenance.
- Meet regularly with day treatment staff to access client participation.
- Assist staff with menu preparation, food inventory, shopping and ordering of supplies as necessary.
- Assist in supervision of clients while on field trips.
- Transportation of clients as directed by supervisor.
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
Intellectual and Developmental Disability Services - Vocational Training Instructor
Maintains documentation as evidence that all duties are completed in accordance with program requirements contained in the Mississippi Department of Mental Health Operational Standards.Maintains proper training, continuing education, qualifications, and other certifications required for this position as written in the Mississippi Department of Mental Health Operational Standards.Provides supervision, training, instruction and assistance to consumers with intellectual and developmental disabilities on a daily basis in areas of living skills, pre-vocational skills and work training.Inspects, inventories and maintains equipment and supplies used in assigned areas.Makes estimates of time and materials required for assigned work area.Transports consumers with intellectual and developmental disabilities to and from the center to home and planned activities as needed.Performs routine paperwork and documentation as assigned.All other duties as assigned by Supervisors.QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess at a minimum a high school diploma or General Education Development equivalent.Must have a valid Mississippi driver's license.Must pass a criminal background check.REPORTING SUPERVISOR
Program Coordinator / Directors, County Administrator and Clinical Directors.
