Small Engine Repair Technician

Immediate opening in a very busy commercial outdoor power equipment shop specializing in the Sale, Service and Rental of commercial landscape equipment. Employment is full time, year-round, with no seasonal layoffs. Training and career advancement are available for qualified applicants. This position requires extensive knowledge in the repair of air and liquid cooled small gasoline engines ranging from 3-50HP.

Job Duties

• Diagnose and repair 2 and 4 cycle equipment including engine rebuilds, deck repairs and frame repairs
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic issues on small hydraulic systems including hydraulic pump and wheel motor replacement and rebuilds.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues including EFI systems, clutches, wiring harnesses and switches.
• Record and convey issues with equipment to a Service Manager

Job Requirements

• Applicant must possess their own tools
• Applicant must possess a Small Engine Repair Certification such as a Kohler, Kawasaki, or Briggs and Stratton Technician or Master Technician Certificate.
• Applicant must have a valid driver’s license
• Applicant must be able to safely operate and repair commercial landscape equipment
• Have general computer knowledge to enter repairs performed on job ticket

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours : 42 – 52 per week
