Job descriptionStart Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 End Date : 12 / 11 / 2026 Coverage Type : Call Only Setting : Inpatient Schedule : 24-hour onsite call; approximately 10 patients per day Procedures : Endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP Case Types : GI bleed, SBO, food bolus, ulcers, gastritis, abdominal pain Rounding : Yes; hospitalists handle admissions EMR : Paragon (transitioning to Epic in 2026) Support Staff : Endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff Average Callbacks : ~4 hours per week Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Active TX license ACLS certification Completed Gastroenterology residency ERCP required Clean malpractice history preferred Scope : Inpatient-only consults and GI procedures Typical Procedures : Endoscopy - Colonoscopy - ERCP - Sedation : Conscious sedation preferred (anesthesia available) Compensation Rates : Facility is accepting bids Malpractice : Provided Travel : Reimbursed
