Estimated Weekly Salary Weekly Salary Range : $1990 - $2130 per week (estimated) CVICU RN Job Details Location : Mechanicsville, Virginia 23116 Assignment Type : Travel nursing job Unit : CVICU (8-bed Cardiovascular ICU) Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025 – End : 1 / 31 / 2026) Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holiday required Interview Process : ITO interviews Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (required) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required) Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience (including post-op CABG recovery) Proficiency with Swan / PA catheters (required) Experience with ECMO, IABP, and Impella preferred Must pass EKG exam at orientation (study guide provided) No local candidates (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Mechanicsville) CVICU RN Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments in the CVICU Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized cardiac care plans Administer medications safely and according to hospital policies Coordinate patient care across hospital departments Deliver nursing care using advanced life-support technology (ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO) Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and manage patients with multi-system organ failure Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and educate patients / families Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions Maintain professionalism and uphold patient privacy and safety standards Apply now to join our healthcare team in Mechanicsville, Virginia, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
