IP Litigation Resource Attorney – Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, Palo Alto, or San Diego
Direct Counsel is seeking an IP Litigation Resource Attorney to join a top-tier global law firm with offices across the U.S. and abroad. This is a unique non-billable role designed for experienced litigators who want to leverage their expertise to enhance practice resources, attorney development, and client-facing content within a leading Intellectual Property Litigation group.
The Opportunity
The Resource Attorney will serve as a knowledge and practice management leader within the IP Litigation group. Instead of billing client hours, this attorney will focus on developing resources, training, and content that enable practicing attorneys to be more efficient, informed, and successful in their litigation work.
Key Responsibilities
Stay current on legal and regulatory developments impacting IP litigation.
Develop client alerts, white papers, blog posts, and other thought leadership.
Build and maintain internal practice resources and archives of work product.
Collaborate with Marketing on branding, business development, and RFP responses.
Support speaking engagements, webinars, and external presentations.
Work with Professional Development to enhance attorney training and skills.
Partner with Information Services to identify and implement technology solutions.
Foster knowledge-sharing, consistency, and collaboration across the IP Litigation group.
Qualifications
Licensed attorney with at least 5 years of experience in patent litigation , with some trade secret litigation experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of IP litigation, including technology and life sciences industries.
Excellent writing, drafting, and presentation skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple initiatives.
Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, team-driven environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range : $220,000 – $325,000 (depending on experience and location).
