The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) is responsible for maximizing the sale of parts and service capabilities by calling on customers in an assigned territory. You must demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Promotes and sells Caterpillar equipment parts and company service capabilities; inspects customer equipment; develops / delivers proposals and estimates; develops and sells maintenance contracts
• Prepare territory coverage call plan, manage sales opportunities and sales activity reports
• Receives customer orders, serves as the customer contact point, and occasionally assists in the education of customer base on parts and service programs / initiatives
• Collaborates with other departments to provide exceptional customer service
• Work diligently to achieve desired results as defined on Sales Scorecard, focus on safety, financials, operations, and customer service
• Work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment building relationships within the team, customers, vendors, and community organizations

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.

Required travel is up to 100%. This is an outside sales position which may require some overnight stays depending on territory needs (average 1-5 / mo).
