Job purpose :

• Manages a portfolio of R&D projects using applied scientific and engineering principles in the area of advanced engineering and manufacturing technologies with both internal and external partners. Will be responsible for proposing new research activities and leading teams of cross-functional direct and / or indirect researchers in the execution of research activities. Specific areas include, but are not limited to, design and manufacture of battery cells and components, efficiency improvement using Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies, emerging manufacturing technologies, semiconductors, and quantum computing. Will use Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and industry knowledge to help develop research strategies.
