Lead Registered Nurse

About the position\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Providing health care in the treatment and / or prevention of illnesses and injuries.\n
• Performing the juveniles' admission physical assessments.\n
• Conducting sick call and administering medications.\n
• Implementing physician treatment orders and providing medication administration training to UAPs.\n
• Writing medical discharge summaries and providing emergency medical services.\n
• Maintaining health care reports and data reports regarding juvenile health status.\n
• Providing health-related staff training.\n\nRequirements\n
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.\n
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and two years of nursing experience.\n
• Experience leading a team and delegating tasks to UAPs and subordinate healthcare staff.\n
• Experience providing feedback and advice to nursing staff on patient care.\n
• Experience implementing the nursing process to meet patient needs.\n
• Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare staff to deliver organized services.\n
• Experience teaching nursing staff through orientation and on-the-job training.\n\nNice-to-haves\n
