Hospitalist openings in Northern California (daytime and nocturnist openings available)
- Private hospitalist group that is locally managed with around 60 providers including hospitalists, APPs, Intensivists, and Palliative care.
- Group has been in the same hospital for 25 years and is under the same management, providing stability in the community.
- Group covers two local sister hospitals that are only 20 minutes apart.
- Located 90 minutes from San Francisco and San Jose, and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Sacramento, CA. City population is 250,000+ with all local amenities.
- Larger hospital has 460 beds and is a busy transfer center with a comprehensive stroke center and soon to be a level 1 trauma center. The other facility is a 209-bed community hospital with a lower census.
- Group has one opening for a Nocturnist and 1-2 openings for daytime hospitalists.
- Group is unable to sponsor visas.
- EMR is Cerner.
- Physicians must be Board Eligible / Certified and have a CA license and DEA to practice. Open to Internal Medicine and Family Medicine training.
- Ideal candidates will be able to start in the next 4-6 months.
Daytime openings :
Shifts are 7 am - 7 pm with a normal census of 16-18 patients. No ICU management required.Both sites have a dedicated daytime admitter scheduled, limiting admissions during the day.Pay is based on an RVU model with average pay around $1700 per shift for daytime.Nocturnist opening :
At the larger facility, shifts can vary from 5 pm - 5 am or 7 pm - 7 am, primarily for admitting.Pay is based on an RVU model with average pay around $2,000 per night shift.APPs answer pages and perform rapid responses; supervision of APPs is expected.Normal admissions are about 20-25 per night split between the two nocturnists on duty.No ICU or procedures required.The smaller facility offers shifts from 7 pm - 7 am, with a daytime admitter until 9 pm.Typically, 7-10 admissions per night plus covering the floor and ICU; no procedures required as the ED assists with codes, intubations, and lines.Benefits :
