Title of Role : Full-Stack Engineer

Location : San Francisco (Hybrid)

Company Stage of Funding : Series A (rapid growth, preparing for Series B)

Office Type : Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite, rest remote

Salary : $160,000 - $250,000

Company Description

Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed AI startup that recently raised a Series A from top investors and is on track for rapid expansion. The company builds AI-powered communication systems that integrate with logistics and supply chain platforms, enabling businesses to automate high-volume conversations across phone, email, and messaging. With strong early traction and ambitious growth goals, this is a unique opportunity to join a high-intensity engineering team at a pivotal stage in its journey.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable backend infrastructure to power AI-driven communication at scale.
  • Develop systems that handle thousands of concurrent AI interactions with low latency.
  • Architect multi-region, fault-tolerant infrastructure and implement robust observability.
  • Automate deployments, operational workflows, and testing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve performance, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Take full ownership of projects from design through to production.

Ideal Candidate Background

  • 3-10 years of software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development (60-70% backend, 30-40% frontend).
  • Proven experience scaling backend systems from the ground up, ideally in high-traffic environments (e.g., mobility platforms, social media, or other large-scale consumer or enterprise systems).
  • Strong coding skills with Go.
  • Solid understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in React and TypeScript.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals with a degree in CS or a related technical field.

  • A "founder mindset" : high ownership, independence, and drive to build and ship quickly.
  • Passion for AI and enthusiasm for working on cutting-edge AI-driven systems.
