Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMBS is hiring a Quality Weld Inspector in Fairfield, OH. This is a direct hire opportunity, full-time position.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTIONPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Inspections include first piece and full container inspections IAW the applicable weld code and defined criteria. This includes documenting results ERP system, and communicating inspection results in a complete, clear and concise manner.Actively participate in corrective action processAssist Manufacturing associates interpreting drawings, instructions and WPS’s to provide an understanding of the requirements of each specific job Support safety requirements, 5S initiatives, and consistently maintain good housekeeping duties.Participate in the Material Review Board to determine disposition when required for welding issues.Update quality documentation in Plex (ERP) as non-conformances and issues ariseThis position will follow blueprint product specifications to weld and fabricate parts to customer designs. Daily responsibilities are to align, fit and weld parts together. Set up and operate hand tools. Verify fabricated elements meet design specifications.REQUIREMENTS5 years’ previous Welding Experience and / or Weld Inspection experience in a manufacturing setting is a mustCapable of using measuring equipment (calipers, fillet, or height gauges.)Proficient at reading weld symbols and blue-print drawingsExperience with D1.1Must be be familiar with using measuring equipment (i.e. fillet gages, calipers, height gages, etc.)Understand both Metric and English unitsProficient in GD&T preferredGround combat vehicle welding code for aluminum and steel, preferredAbility to work in fast-paced environment.Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.Ability to utilize hand / eye coordination.Capability to stand for prolonged periods of timeCommunication skills.ABOUT THE KABLE GROUPFor over 50 years, The Kable Group has been committed to connecting candidates looking for reliable work opportunities with companies in need of workforce solutions.
