HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Clifton Springs, New York.

Title : Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location : Clifton Springs, NY

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (18 : 30 – 07 : 00)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in both long-term care and critical care settings.
  • Perform patient assessments, administer prescribed respiratory treatments, and monitor responses.
  • Manage ventilator-dependent patients, including setup, troubleshooting, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
  • Deliver oxygen therapy using various systems such as high-flow nasal cannula, trach collars, and bag-mask ventilation.
  • Administer aerosolized medications via nebulizer, MDI, and tracheal aerosol setups.
  • Assist with airway management, including intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care.
  • Draw and analyze arterial blood gases to assess and adjust ventilatory support as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Float as needed between Long Term Care, Clifton Springs, and Newark Hospital facilities.
  • Participate in on-call rotation (approximately 2 shifts per month) and provide weekend coverage as required.

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience.
  • Strong background in critical care and ventilator management (long-term and acute).
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system (required).
  • Previous travel experience preferred; strong first-time travelers accepted.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple care settings.

    • Certifications & Licenses :

  • Active New York Respiratory Therapist License (required prior to start).
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required).
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification (accepted).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
