Position Overview
Our growing restoration and construction company is looking for an experienced carpenter to join our team. We specialize in restoration work, as well as residential and light commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have a well rounded knowledge base in light framing, door and window installation, cabinetry, and finish carpentry. Wage varies based on experience, productivity, and quality of work.
Job Responsibilities
Capable of reading prints, sketches, and drawings for various projectsAssist supervisors when planning / designing structures and installing layoutsConduct repair work when requiredAssess proper quality of materials and woodworksAbility to operate tools, equipment, and machinesInstall windows, doors, stairs, cabinets, trim, and various other fixturesResolve issues with customers, communicates customer issues and daily job activities with key company staffMaintain compliance with local building codesEnsure safety standards are being followed during all active jobsAbility to problem solving and communicate with customersMust be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlinesExperience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phoneJob Requirements
High school graduate or equivalentValid driver's license and satisfactory driving recordGood verbal and written and communication skillsRole models customer service expectations with home owners, adjusters, vendors etc.Knowledge of construction industryProficient with using mobile software to enter dataMust be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlinesExperience in training and managing othersStrong problem-solving skillsCommunicates customer issues, job activities with key company staffPhysical Demands and Working Conditions
Incumbent must be prepared to :
Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
