ER RN Job Details – Charlottesville, VA Location : Charlottesville, VA 22908 (Virginia healthcare jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nurse contract) Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Shift : Nights, 12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 or 48 hours Estimated Weekly Salary : $1800-$1840 Setting : Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Unit Size : 71 beds, average daily census of 165 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand before start date) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (ER RN experience required) At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience Pediatric patient care experience (not required to be in a dedicated pediatric ER) Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (TNCC can be pending at submission but must be completed before start) Epic charting experience preferred BSN preferred Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) References required ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in a busy ER setting Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for trauma, stroke, cardiac events, and other emergency conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy Care for patients across all age groups : adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics Float within the facility as needed, within scope of practice Accurately document patient care using Epic electronic health records Participate in orientation and complete required training modules Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays (Christmas RTO not approved) Apply now to join our dedicated emergency nursing team in Charlottesville, VA, and take the next step in your travel nurse career!
