Job Summary

We are looking for an attentive and driven Radar Systems Engineer to join our team. Your main duties will include supporting the development, implementation, and testing of signal processing workflows to exploit synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. Day-to-day responsibilities will focus on SAR image ingestion, data formatting, maintenance of SAR-related software (i.e. SARPy), and assisting senior staff with analytic development. This role will provide essential support to ensure Ursa’s SAR infrastructure is reliable, efficient, and adaptable to new data sources and vendor modes.

This position will report to the Director of Analytics.

Job Responsibilities

• Support SAR image ingest and preprocessing workflows
• Maintain and adapt SARPy to handle evolving vendor modes and formats
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving SAR formatting issues
• Contribute to the development and testing of SAR processing algorithms
• Participate in agile software development processes to bring tools into operational use
• Engage in design discussions, code reviews, and peer collaboration
• Communicate effectively and collaborate across teams
• Perform all other duties as assigned
