Job Description : To serve as one of ODU's School Certifying Officials by reviewing claims for Veterans Affairs Educational Benefits. We serve all military affiliated students here at ODU using one of the many VA educational benefits available. We do this by submitting certifications / verifications through the Enrollment Manager portal on a regular basis, both pre- and post-registration. To assist students with questions related to VA benefits, in-person, over the phone, and via email.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Working knowledge of Veterans Affairs Education Benefits.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain policy.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, work independently, investigate potential discrepancies, and diplomatically communicate to the military affiliated student.
• Demonstrated ability to use Excel and perform mathematical calculations.
• Considerable knowledge of customer service techniques.
